Volavka bílá (Ardea alba) tvarem těla i velikostí je podobná volavce popelavé, je ale čistě bíle zbarvena. Zobák je v době hnízdění černý se žlutým kořenem, mimo hnízdní dobu celý žlutý. Ve svatebním šatu má na hřbetě a po stranách těla velmi prodloužené peří přesahující ocas. Je potulným druhem a migrantem na krátké vzdálenosti, v posledních letech u nás stále častěji přezimuje. Pokud se týká potravy, loví především ryby a že je úspěšná, je vidět i ve videu. Ale také je schopna na polích lovit drobné hlodavce, kobylky, sarančata a jiné bezobratlé, příležitostně i obojživelníky a plazy.

In her nuptial dress, she has very elongated feathers on her back and sides of her body, extending beyond her tail. It is a wandering species and a short-distance migrant, and in recent years it has been wintering here more and more often. When it comes to food, it mainly hunts fish and the fact that it is successful can be seen in the video. But it is also able to hunt small rodents, grasshoppers, locusts and other invertebrates, occasionally amphibians and reptiles in the fields.
