Unbeknownst to most individuals, the sloth bear is one of the most difficult daytime mammals to get a sighting of.

Certainly the most difficult from the big 3 (the elephant, the leopard, the sloth bear)

This is how one normally see them in the jungle and very difficult to see their face, since they are constantly smelling for the next meal and keep their nose to the ground.

Straight after a rain your chances may increase, since they like to dig for termites and other insects when the ground is relatively softer because of the rains.

So, if you managed to have a good sloth bear sighting, consider yourself very very lucky.
