Coral RETIRES after 11 years of Falconry: Full Story in Description

Yesterday I decided it was time to retire Coral; permanently. I had brought her to the field with me in hopes of getting her off the Creance and actually flying her. She wouldn't even come out of the giant hood; this is a new weird Coral behavior she started about 2-3 months ago. ...among other weird, flakey behavior in which she acts like she has never seen me before....interlaced with very short bouts of 'Normal Coral' which most of you that know her know there's absolutely nothing normal about her. Her first season in UK she was collectively diagnosed by all at the Centre with schizophrenia.
For those that don't know the story...
She came down with West Nile Virus in 2017 and obviously survived and went onto have a couple more pretty good seasons. Her last full productive season was 2019/2020. Starting with a CT on my birthday, ending with a 8 pound jack on Valentine's Day and several CTs and jacks between those.
Her last kill was a CT 2 years ago this month and then I grounded her for health reasons so, she has been struggling. I flew her a few months last year and she was just full tilt crazy after rabbits but then starting getting weird and very 'neuro' so, I grounded her. This season I got as far as putting her tail clip on and 1 creance session. I hate to end this beast's run but I can't be sure when the weird(er) Coral will come out and she bugs off or does something dangerous.
I probably should have retired her last season but Coral has been my killing machine for over a decade and we have been through some ???? together. It's hard for me to wrap my head around the reality that it has come to an end. I'm grateful to have had a few more seasons after WNV; most birds don't survive so I have that.
Not sure what her retirement will look like; she's a bit ...weird as you might have heard. I'll try to make her life as meaningful as possible but she does make things difficult...it's her way.
