Fall Migration is here in Middle Tennessee! Rose-Breasted Grosbeak came back on September 26th! We are hoping that the Grosbeak will make Middle Tennessee/Cumberland Plateau/Highland Rim area their favorite migration pit stop while flying north during the spring and flying south during fall migration. We only saw one on (26th) that first day. But, today (29th) we saw at least twelve. So far they all appear to be young juveniles. This was our first year see the Ruby Breasted Gros Beak in area. no one had ever seen this bird before.
Birds are active at the feeders and the water fountains. Kind of exciting as August was a slow month. I can't wait to see the birds in October!
