Sloths are tree-dwelling mammals found in the rainforests of Central and South America, known for their slow movement and laid-back nature. They have long claws for hanging from branches and spend most of their lives upside down. Sloths have a unique metabolism that allows them to conserve energy, and they sleep up to 15-20 hours per day. Their diet consists mainly of leaves, which provide little energy, so they move slowly to conserve their limited resources. Despite their slow pace, sloths are excellent swimmers and can hold their breath for up to 40 minutes.
