building an ecosystem to house a jumping spider
as home for the Vivarium / Terrarium i used a 20x20x30 acrylic cage
the substrate is aquatic pond compost on top of aquarium gravel, also some active carbon between these 2 layers.
the plants i used are: Bacopa Monieri, Rotala Rotundifolia, Micrathemum umbrosum, Ludwigia mini s.red.
i also stocked it with springtails and some woodlice, these tiny animals are the key for an healthy terrarium / vivarium, they eat decomposing matter, mold and fungae keeping the ecosystem safe and clean.
the star of the vivarium is Medusa (female phidippus regius)
i fed her fruit flyes in the young stages and diffetent sizes crickets in the adult stage
