Here’s a detailed care guide for Ceratopteris thalictroides (Water Sprite / Sumatran Fern) great for aquariums, ponds.


Aquatic fern that can live fully submerged, partly submerged, or even floating. 

Native to stagnant or slow-moving fresh water (ponds, ditches, stream edges).

Fast grower, versatile; good for beginner aquarists.

Parameters ideal Range Notes Temperature 20‑30 °C (68‑86 °F). Best growth often seen around 22‑28°C.

pH Slightly acidic to neutral preferred; roughly pH 6.0‑7.5. Can tolerate a bit beyond that. Hardness Soft to moderately hard water. KH (carbonate hardness) about 3‑8 is good. 

Lighting : Moderate to high lighting. Under lower light it will grow, but more sparsely / leggy. Floating forms may get more light and spread. 

Water Flow: Prefers gentle flow / still water. Strong currents can damage the delicate fronds.

Here’s a detailed care guide for Hygrophila difformis (Water Wisteria) very forgiving plant, great for many aquarium setups.

Temperature ~ 22‑28 °C (71‑82 °F) is best.

pH Slightly acidic to neutral/slightly alkaline, about 6.5‑7.5.

Hardness Soft to moderately hard water, but it tolerates a wide range.

Lighting Moderate to high lighting gives the best, attractive, compact growth. Under lower light it gets leggy.
