Red Cherry Shrimp and other types of Neocaridina Shrimp are social, schooling creatures that do best in groups of at least 10 or more. Any less than this and they may tend to hide among the thicket of aquatic plants or decor, rather than graze as a group out in the open. The last thing you want to do is make the mistake of buying too few shrimp for your community tank, never getting to see them and enjoy their appearance.
