A rare and fascinating underwater duo! This star pufferfish (Arothron stellatus) is cruising the reef with its two yellow pilotfish (Gnathodon speciosus), a perfect example of marine symbiosis. The pilotfish stay close to the puffer for protection while feeding on parasites. Did you know? Star puffers can grow up to 1.2 meters (4 feet) and produce tetrodotoxin, a powerful defense against predators!
