This Short shows an Amazon sword plant mounted to a piece of driftwood with a couple of large hole drilled-through hole allowing the roots to reach the substrate. Normally, these plants are planted directly into the substrate, but I tried something different here and it worked out great and looked tons better than a plastic basket.
I packed the holes with rock wool to keep the plant sturdy while it roots properly. This method gives the sword full access to nutrients while keeping the aquascape clean and visually striking.
✅ experimental mounting method with drilled driftwood
✅ rock wool support for stable rooting
✅ roots reach substrate for proper nutrition
✅ ideal for aquascaping and long-term growth

????️ Tool Used: Drill, rock wool
???? DIY aquarium tips
???? Focus: Amazon sword mounted with root-through driftwood
