Mountain lions are stealthy predators, Hunting at night and often lying in wait for prey or silently stalking it before pouncing from behind and delivering a lethal bite to the spinal cord. They are among the largest cat species in north america, and can weigh up to 220 pounds or 100 kilograms and grow to be over 8 feet long or 2.5 meters, including their tail.
