Finally Got My DREAM Puffer Fish! (Porcupine Puffer UNBOXING & Acclimation) | Newbie Tank Build 2.0

12-06-2025 I finally got him! This video documents the journey of getting the one fish I've wanted since I started this hobby 34 years ago: a Porcupine Puffer! It all started with a simple request to our collectors down in the Florida Keys. Watch as I unbox Petey the puffer, who is a nocturnal predator, and then guide you through my quarantine process, including prophylactic treatment for flukes and dealing with a giant escape-artist snail! I also share the challenges of getting Petey to eat a varied diet (he loves his krill!) before finally moving him into my fowlr display tank. It's a little nerve-wracking, but my dream fish is home!
