Coral reefs provide necessary habitats for marine organisms and coastal protection from intense storm damage. However, rising sea temperatures and other climate change threats are slowly degrading these critical ecosystems. Join us to learn more about how the University of Miami's Coral Restoration Lab and its citizen science program, Rescue a Reef, are working to rebuild the coral reefs off the coast of Miami.

Cailin Harrell, Master’s Student in the UM Coral Restoration and Benthic Ecology Lab, will be leading this presentation both in person and virtually.
