The ears are relatively large and lack earlobes. The lower part of the nasal septum is smooth, but the upper part has a three-toothed lancet. The tail is covered by a caudal membrane, but its tip is exposed. The body color is from grayish yellow to light brown.

Sizes: Head length 50 to 60 mm, tail 18 to 25 mm, forearm 44 to 53 mm

Habitat: Dark areas located in hot, dry areas with scattered shrubs and trees.

Distribution in Iran: Southern regions of the country from Sistan and Baluchestan to Kerman, Fars, and Dehloran. A colony of this bat, numbering more than five thousand, has been observed in the Dehloran National Natural Monument.

The Chogha Zanbil region, located adjacent to the wildlife sanctuary in the Rodan region of Hormozgan Province, is another habitat of this bat.

Global distribution Southwest Asia and North Africa

Habits: Begins flying at low altitude in the late evening. Flight pattern resembles a butterfly. Lives in large flocks. Not much is known about other characteristics of this bat.
