They are able to hold their breath for up to 25 minutes at a time, and can swim at speeds of up to 9 miles per hour. Narwhals are also incredibly social creatures, and are often found swimming in groups of up to 20 individuals.

Despite their impressive size and strength, Narwhals are unfortunately considered to be vulnerable to extinction due to the effects of climate change and hunting.
