Keeping Fish Tubs Outside Part 1: Prep Work

The Season has began, we love to keep Fish Tubs outside during the summer. This video is part 1 of our 2022 summer tubbin series. In this video I will show how to get Tubs ready for growing and breeding Fish outside in Ohio. What a great diy project for any hobbiest.
WHY do we do this? Fish need vacations too, moving Fish outside during the summer months will promote healthier aquatic animals. the natural food will help them grow faster, the sunlight will brighten their colors, and the combination of both will get them breeding. The rain even triggers some hard to breed fish to start Spawning. By the end of the summer you may even have so many fish you can sell them, who doesnt like to breed fish for profit. This is by far one of my favorite times of year in the Fish hobby and I suggest all of you try it out.
Ask questions and don't be afraid, it's so easy and fulfilling to watch cichlids and guppies in natural environments. oh and don't forget to put your live aquarium plants in your Tubs, you won't believe how much they grow in only a few months.
