Happy New Year Everyone! ????????????
*The Dudley Orangutan family is still enjoying their snowy snack. You might have seen the last video where Sprout and Djimat even climbed up to get some fresh snow* - https://youtu.be/xvoxrv5Ev_E
Djimat holds a piece of snow on his lip, taking a moment to look at it, in true Orangutan fashion. Baby Jim, curious about what mum is eating, turns her head around, but then he goes off. Jazz then comes to the front, carrying Joe. Once seated, she enjoys more snow—it's finger-licking good. Sprout, Jazz’s daughter, joins the two for the snowy snack. Known for putting things up her nose, Sprout does just that, sniffing snow this time, just as she did with moss when younger.
Djimat joins the others, sitting next to Jazz, and they all savour the white snack together. Sprout goes inside first, followed by Jazz. Joe wants to follow too but hesitates, unsure about the snow, so he backtracks and walks along where it has already melted. Meanwhile, Jim finds a small patch of snow on the wall, gives it a quick lick, and then he's off.
Filmed end of November 2024
Next week a video from the Palmyre Orangutans and then back to the Dudley Orangutans.
