Did you know orca dorsal fins can grow to 6 feet tall in the wild?! That's the tallest dorsal fin of any marine mammal. It acts as a keel (that skinny beam at the bottom of boats) to stabilize the orca and help him slip through the water more easily. Plus, each orca has a unique dorsal fin--kinda like our fingerprints!
