In this video I set up a live culture of scuds to showcase if this fish food is harmless or a slept on micro predator. Scuds are typically thought of for use as fish food and study as an interesting addition to a natural aquarium food web or ecosystem. Scuds or gammarus are detritivore but not much emphasis is put on their predatory nature. History in the fishkeeping hobby has shown that scuds will completely disrupt the food web in an aquarium, and scientific study in the wild also shows that scuds will take over and disrupt the food chain in nature. #aquarium #natural #foodweb
