Today we have conducted routine health checks of our Giant barred frog and Stuttering frog population for Chytrid fungus disease at our Conservation Ark facility!
We are happy to say that all of our endangered frogs are Chytrid Fungus free!
Chytrid Fungus is a highly contagious and deadly disease that has wiped out species worldwide. So every 6 months Aussie Ark checks all resident frogs to ensure the fungus hasn’t entered the facility.
