One morning Casper's three white lion cubs and their brothers had been nursing since early morning in the loving care of their mother. But by morning, their attempts to breastfeed become stressful. It is possible that this is due to a reduced milk supply, causing the cubs to suckle harder, thereby hurting the mother and upsetting her. The irritation is only temporary and by the afternoon the mother is back to normal and affectionate and the chicks are well fed.
