Germs are everywhere and every responsible reptile keeper knows to wash their hands after handling their reptiles, but have you ever wondered just HOW germy our reptiles really are?

Bearded Dragons have been in the news recently as being the culprits in several outbreaks of salmonella poisoning, but they are not alone. Aquatic turtles, tortoises, lizards and snakes have all been cited as making people sick. Today I start my journey into seeing just how 'dirty' my reptiles are compared to my cats, myself and stuff around my house.
