It will soon be time to decide which pigeons breed and which won't. I'm also closer to making a decision on the loft and give newcomers a taste of what daily life is like with a small loft in winter. Avian influenza (bird flu) is rife in the UK and we've all been forced to keep our birds locked up. The good news it will means the hawks won't get to eat racing pigeon this winter. The bad news is I suspect this ban may not be lifted until late in the spring/early summer.
