Revealing and unique documentary looking at disturbing evidence of anti-social chimpanzee behaviour from hunting monkeys for meat - and fun - to chilling evidence of killing human children. Are chimps a dark mirror to our own behaviour? Subscribe to Our World: https://bit.ly/3xnPuGL

A bold look at the violence that's being observed among our closest relatives. The programme creates dramatic reconstructions of chimpanzee attacks and has exclusive contact with eye-witnesses and victims. In 1994 a small child was attacked and partially eaten by a wild chimpanzee. This was the first casualty in a spate of horrifying attacks in Ruteete, western Uganda. Eventually the rogue chimp was shot and all was quiet for two years. Then suddenly the attacks started again. Another dangerous chimp was on patrol. This is the story of what made these chimps attack people. Through the eyes of the local chimp tracker who studied the attacks and the scientists who watched on in horror, we explore the dark nature of our closest relatives.
