In this episode of Be Sea Adventures, we explore Plumper Wall, one of the most stunning and remote scuba diving sites on northern Vancouver Island. Located just outside Telegraph Cove in the Broughton Archipelago, this vertical reef is absolutely loaded with life — from soft corals, anemone-covered walls, sponge gardens, to some of the most unique cold water invertebrates you’ll ever see.

And right in the middle of it, we discovered the biggest Puget Sound King Crab I’ve ever encountered.

We were diving with Captain Earl Lowe from Abyssal Dive Charters, after cruising up from Campbell River along the Johnstone Strait. At the site, we ran into The Marine Detective, who gave us a quick site briefing.

Whether you’re into cold water scuba diving, marine life photography, or just exploring the underwater world around Vancouver Island, this one is packed with reef action, fascinating species, and a suspenseful twist.

???? What you’ll see in this dive:
Stunning reef walls teeming with cold water marine life
Close-up footage of Puget Sound King Crabs in the wild
Drift diving through soft-coral and anemone gardens
A final swim through an epic bull kelp forest
