The Asiatic black bear, also known as the moon bear or white-chested bear, is a medium-sized bear species native to the forests and mountains of Asia. They have shaggy black fur with a distinctive white or cream-colored patch on their chest, which varies in size and shape. Asiatic black bears have a stocky build, with broad shoulders and short, powerful legs, which enable them to climb trees with ease.
