20 years of reef tanks, crammed into 40 seconds ????????. From my first 20H with HUGE HOB overflow - to my current clean 5.5-gallon nano reef — this hobby has been with me through it all.

It’s wild to look back at old photos and remember the gear we thought was ‘cutting edge’… Penguin filters, SCWDs, oversized CPR overflows — if you know, you know ????. Somehow the fish survived my rookie mistakes, and I kept coming back for more.

Now I’m running a stripped-down nano with just the essentials, focused on keeping things natural and uncluttered. Pods, a goby/shrimp pair, and some starter zoas… proof that you don’t need a 300-gallon system to get hooked on reefing.
