At the high plateau of Bolivia lies one of the most puzzling megalithic structures on Earth, known as Puma Punku. It forms part of the larger Tiwanaku complex near Lake Titicaca. Scattered across the windswept plain are enormous stone blocks carved from red sandstone and andesite, some weighing more than 100 tons.
