From enemies to best friends ???? #birds

I went to go photograph ducks and walked away with a lasting memory and a new friend.

just to note, it's wise not to encourage wildlife to come to you. this jackdaw had been flying towards me and mobbing my gear before I went back the following day to check on it. long story short, it was most likely hand-reared and had imprinting towards humans. it was not wary of humans at all, and my plan was to monitor the bird in case this behaviour carried on - it's not necessarily natural, and a lot of people around here aren't as forgiving! I was also concerned that if it had been hand-reared, its chances of survival may not have been so great. luckily, after a few days, it was no longer around the area, bombing innocent members of the public ???? so fingers crossed it's somewhere safe, carrying out normal jackdaw behaviour, and having a good day ❤️
