Elephant Shrews, also known as Jumping Shrews or Sengis, are tiny Mammals living in Africa. In spite of their name, they are neither an elephant nor are they a shrew! This shy, endangered animal has become the mascot of the incredible Arabuko National Park in Kenya. The income they attract via tourism pays for the education of local children, being part of the African community. A tribute to how small and shy these elephant shrews are is the fact that they were not spotted in Somalia for over 50 years until 2020!
