Meet the Goliath Frog the world’s largest frog! Native to Central Africa, this giant amphibian can grow up to 13 inches long and weigh more than 7 pounds (3.3 kg)that’s heavier than a housecat! What makes it even more incredible is its ability to leap nearly 10 feet in a single jump.
But here’s the wild twist: despite its massive size, the Goliath Frog is completely mute. No croaks, no ribbits just silent power. These frogs spend their lives near fast-flowing rivers, building nests with stones to protect their eggs. Sadly, they’re also becoming rare due to habitat loss and hunting.
Fun Fact: Goliath Frogs are so strong that they can move heavy rocks to make nests something no other frog does
