Pygmy Seahorses of Triton Bay:
Triton Bay is home to a variety of pygmy seahorses, including the Bargibanti, Denise’s, pontohi and servensiless flamboyant.
Pygmy seahorses live their entire adult lives on a single gorgonian coral. They camouflage perfectly by changing color and mimicking the coral's texture. These tiny seahorses, only ¾ of an inch long, cling with their tails and form small colonies for protection, as they are too small to survive alone in ocean currents.
