I Rescued an Abandoned Rare Reptile!

The moment is FINALLY here! The big reveal of our brand-new animal rescue and full disclosure: I DID NOT want to rescue this animal! It sounds bad, but I promise, everything is explained in this video!

Meet Prune. She is a Prehensile-tailed Skink also known as a Monkey-tailed Skink. Native to the Solomon Islands, northeast of Australia, they are the world’s largest skinks, and in my opinion, one the coolest! I’ve been rescuing reptiles for nearly 23 years, and a Monkey-tailed Skink has NEVER come into the reptile rescue until now. They are extremely rare in the reptile rescue space (in my experience) and I jumped on the opportunity to give one a home. So how do you care for a Prehensile-tailed skink?
