The Longest Living Fish Known

Did you know some fish can outlive us humans?

Koi, for instance, can live up to a staggering 100 years if given the right conditions. Goldfish aren't far behind, with a lifespan of 20 years being a walk in the park for them.

But the real Methuselah of the sea is the Greenland shark. This deep, cold water dweller has been known to live for 200, 300, even 500 years.

However, don't rush to add one to your aquarium. These ancient creatures are best left in the wild, where they can continue their centuries-long swim in peace.
