Coral Cries For Help After Being Found With Swollen, Split Nose

While hidden among a colony of cats, Coral most certainly stood out. This poor girl was walking around with a red button nose but it was not as sweet as it sounds… Her nose appears to be split in half, exposing bright red skin and causing her tremendous pain ????

Coral is not in great shape, and we cannot tell what was wrong at a glance. After picking her up from the colony, she was taken straight to North Bay Animal Hospital this past weekend. Right now, it's crucial to take tests and find out what Coral needs most!

To start, Coral has been tested for culture (with fungal), bloodwork, FIV/FeLV testing, some vaccines, ear medication, and antibiotic injections, AND has been scheduled for a biopsy with X-Rays while sedated.

As we wait for the results of all of this testing, this sweet girl is being provided with pain medication as needed and subcutaneous fluids. Due to the damage done to her sense of smell, Coral requires appetite stimulants to motivate her diet. For now, she is being kept in emergency care.
