Entanglements are, sadly, a common sight here at Wildlife Aid, but it's not too often that we have to help a young bird stuck in the nest!
We were recently called out to help a young blue tit after it had become tangled whilst still in the nest. Sadly, the poor birds foot had been wrapped in hair and it was unable to escape...
If you do leave nesting material out for birds during the breeding season, please avoid hair. Accidents like this can be easily avoided!
