In this video we get a glimpse of a world usually hidden beneath our feet. The Ambystomatid (mole salamanders) salamanders we see in this video differ from the Plethodontid (lungless salamanders) salamanders I usually show on my channels in that they are larger, breathe through lungs (as opposed to lacking lungs and breathing through skin like all Plethodontids), and have different breeding strategies. We also get some good shots of a few wood frogs that were taking advantage of the rain as well.
