Have you ever seen dozens of angry hippos attack a crocodile?
Or a hippo sneaked up to attack a drinking lion?
What would happen if a hippo found an impala stuck in the mud?
The hippos may seem like gentle animals, but the truth is they are the world's deadliest large land mammals.
They can open their mouth at a 180-degree angle with a ferocious force of 1,800 pound-per-square-inch.
Welcome to Vlambose! Today we will see the 9 Unbelievable Hippo Attacks Caught On Camera!

Number 9!
African Wild Dogs!

The wild dogs and hyenas chased an impala to the edge of a dam.
The impala was swimming in the territory of a hippo that looked very annoyed.
The hippo came closer while the impala swam in fright.
Meanwhile, the wild dogs wandered around the dam, thinking of ways to get their meal.
Shortly after, the highly territorial hippo came to the wild dogs to scare and chase them away.
Realizing that the wild dogs wouldn't leave, the hippo had another idea.
One of the wild dogs tried its luck to catch the exhausted impala, while the hippo looked furiously at the uninvited guest.
The hippo suddenly appeared near them and made the wild dog very shocked that it released the impala and swam away in fear.
The hippo then slammed the impala to end the party.
What a bad day for the wild dogs clan!

Number 8!
Lion!

The lions aren't the cats with the strongest bite.. but the hippos with their 1,800 pound-per-square-inch bite, are very happy to show them how aggressive and ruthless they can be.

In the summer, the water holes were decreasing and there was a fight for a place between the hippos.
The defeated hippo had to leave and found another water hole.
Unfortunately, the other water hole was occupied by the lion pride.
This time, the hippo must succeed in getting a place.
The fight with the lions was inevitable..
The hippo gave a threat with its jaw to make the lions leave.
Luckily, it worked! and the hippo could take the rest.

On a very hot day, the lions were thirsty and they had to drink in the hippo territory.
The hippos, especially males, didn't like any stranger.
The lionesses quickly moved away when the hippos approached.
But it didn't apply to this brave male lion, that drank like nothing happened.
Meanwhile, an angry male hippo swam toward him silently.
At a close distance the hippo tried to attack the lion, but fortunately it managed to escape.

A drunken lion disturbed a sleeping hippo.
Unfortunately, the hippo managed to catch it and it was game over.

Number 7!
Impala!

An impala was trapped in the mud after being chased by a lion.
Shortly after, two hippos came closer.
One of them was getting very close and suddenly attacked it.
The helpless creature could only accept its fate in silence, and it's game over.

Number 6!
Crocodile!

Adult crocodiles are afraid of hippos because they know how aggressive and territorial they are.
A crocodile was enjoying the sunny day when a hippo suddenly disturbed it.
The crocodile tried to ignore it, but the hippo was getting more aggressive.
The reptile didn't want to look for trouble and went away, but surprisingly the hippo followed it!
The crocodiles started to panic and swam as fast as it could.
Shortly after, the hippo hit the crocodile and they dived together.

A large Nile crocodile chose the wrong place to play.
The crocodile entered the hippos' territory, which were famous for being unfriendly in welcoming guests.
The hippos slam the crocodile with ease like a toy.
They continued to slam the crocodile with their mouth until it was out of their territory.
I think the crocodile was very lucky considering that even one hippo could send it to another universe.
