This tufted puffin, named Chicken, prefers to eat his food one krill at a time. Sadly, krill eat a large amount of microplastics that biomagnify up the food chain where they reach puffins, whales, and even humans.

Tufted puffins, like chicken, change their plumage depending on the time of year. During breeding season, they will grow impressively long, pale yellow head plumes. Their facial feathers also change to a bright white to offset their immense red bill and red-rimmed eyes. During non-breeding season, they instead have a gray face, an orange-gray bill, and only a hint of plumes.
Puffins live most of their lives alone out at sea where they are rarely observed, but during the summer they'll make they way to land and nest in huge, noisy colonies along sea cliffs.
Superficially puffins look like penguins, and they do a lot of penguin like things, but these little birds are more closely related to gulls. Just like penguins, they can be picky eaters! As we see here with Chicken.
