The spotted moray eel is easy to recognize with its black and white pattern, almost like leopard spots. It can grow over a meter long and is usually found hiding in coral reefs, with just its head sticking out. Moray eels are not aggressive but will defend themselves if provoked. They use their sharp teeth to catch fish, crustaceans, and octopus, and have a second set of jaws inside their throat to pull prey in.
