Growing plants in an aquarium can be tricky, growing plants at Discus temps can be even worse. However Ive found plants that seem to thrive at Discus fish temperatures and Ive got a few handy tips that I think have made my plants grow better. Ive always struggled to grow plants in an aquarium but these ones seem to be doing well, and rather than buying new plants every few months Im removing plants to stop this tank becoming overgrown.

The light is on for 6 hours a day and only at 75% on all settings except the blue which is only set to 10%.

As said no fertilizer is added to this tank or any other chemicals. Each plant has a root tab which is renewed every few months.

Remove any dead, damaged or detached leaves weekly.
