It’s that tiiiiiiiime of year again!! Before the funny yellow birds show up, before the Tree swallows start swarming, before the leaves start turning, it’s FROG time!!
Every year here in upstate NY, hundreds of thousands of amphibians die trying to make it across busy roads at night. They start crossing when the temperature gets above 40°F, and when it’s raining. This is really the only time you can find the reclusive Spotted salamander, and the tiny Spring peeper!!
Both Randy and I have been doing this for several years. We have sat in on lectures for how to properly do this. Keep an eye out on the channel, we will be doing a “how-to” for going out and helping them cross!!
