Raccoons (Procyon lotor) are smart, nocturnal mammals known for their black "mask" and bushy, ringed tails. They are excellent climbers and problem-solvers, often using their front paws to grab food. Found in forests and cities, raccoons are omnivores, eating fruits, insects, and even garbage. Though they look cute, they can be territorial.
