In this video I added new fish to shallow low tech aquarium. Thick-lipped gourami (five of them) were added to Blackwater Aquarium. As always when adding new fish there was some commotion but the things cooled down after few hours. Apistogramma and gouramis were inquisitive about each other but after a while pecking order has been established and Apistogramma was the ruler of the bottom part of aquarium while gouramis were all over the place in the upper part of aquarium.
Interesting thing about gouramis is that they have "little arms" or feelers. In the nature they use them to find food, mates and manoeuver their may trough cloudy and murky water. They continue this interesting habit even in home aquariums.
