Unlock the Power of Natural Food for Your Aquarium

Believe it or not, Nature has provided a way for you to feed your fish naturally, and it's not pouring a bottle of fish food into the aquarium every week -fouling the water and -fattening your fish. It's called creating a food web. We are starting with incorporating the detritus, with the end result of providing food for the fish.

Nature's way is simple. First, you provide your fish with an aquarium similar to what they would find in nature. This type of aquarium has a deep substrate. This father fish aquarium has a two part substrate. The bottom layer is dirted. The top layer consists of sand. The sand is necessary because this is the layer that cleans the aquarium.

This substate works by the sand layer precipitating the mulm and the detritus down to the anaerobic and the aerobic area for processing. This is where the mulm and detritus are turned into fertilizer for the plants, which goes into the dirted layer.

Next, you go out into nature and find food for the fish.
"Why must I go out into nature?", you may ask. That is, because this is where we find the live natural fish food.

You will gather leaves and other things that have life on them.You cannot see the life, but it is there. Microfaune is everywhere. So when you put these leaves in your aquarium, your are putting microfauna in there, but, that is not all, macrofauna also live on this leaves. Macrofauna eat microfauna and guess what eats macrofauna -scuds, daphnia and other small water creatures. Then the fish feed on these little guys So, there you go.
