Eastern Grey kangaroos
Eastern grey kangaroos are abundant in eastern regions of Australia and are also found in Tasmania. Living across a vast variety of habitats, eastern grey kangaroos are easily identified by their soft grey coat. The kangaroos at Paradise Country all have their toenails painted so our expert animal care team can easily tell them apart and so can you
Red Kangaroos
Gentle-natured and an Australian icon, red kangaroos are the largest native terrestrial mammal and marsupial and they’re right here at Paradise Country. This species can reach speeds over 60 km/hr, can stand as tall as 1.5 meters, and weigh up to 100kg!
Red-Necked Wallaby
Red-necked wallabies are native to eastern and south-eastern Australia and are predominantly browse feeders, meaning they consume a large variety of native plants and grasses. Their small stature and powerful hind limbs allow them to swiftly navigate forest areas and camouflage amongst the shrubbery. They are a protected species and are currently thriving in the wild and at Paradise Country! See if you can spot them in the Wildlife Walkthrough, in park!
