That means larger animals have less skin per pound of body, so there is less surface for their body heat to escape! That’s why animals in colder climates have larger bodies than those in warmer climates.
And because polar bears are the only bear that eat almost entirely meat, they have to hunt giant arctic animals. So, they needs to be massive to hunt them efficiently, and also benefit from the rule!
