Tree frogs like these Chinese gliding frogs Zhangixalus dennysi follow this
pattern. Additional differences between male and female tree frogs include: males have ear discs (tympanum) that are proportionally bigger relative to
their eyes, as well as spots of rough, raised flesh by their thumb that appear mainly during breeding season. Males will also attempt amplexus, or the breeding position where they grab the back of a female frog, with other things in the tank.
