Foresty nano aquascape time! I have to practice, after all, because I have a HUGE planted tank coming up and this is practice!
I don't usually do dry start tanks, but they have a lot of advantages. Your aquatic plants will grow faster, provided they are species that are able to grow emersed. This means you can start with less plant mass, which can save you some serious money! The downside is that you have to wait patiently, haha.
The fact that I collected this California manzanita myself is pretty cool! I got REALLY scratched up doing it, but it was so worth it :)
