In today's video, I'll show you how to replant an entire section of a mature aquascape. I'll be demonstrating this technique using my UNS 60U (20 gal). The background was initially planted with Microsorums glued to rocks, but I'd like a finer, more grassy texture moving forward. For this reason, I've chosen to replace the Microsorums with twelve cups of Juncus repens, a tall grassy plant that grows wild-like. I think this plant choice will create a much more natural, cohesive look that will mesh well with the foreground's Helanthium tenellum 'Green'. This technique of pulling plants and replanting can be applied to the midground, the foreground, or even the entire tank. Working slowly and carefully is the key.
